Taking a look at our already-impressive traffic in this forum.... would any of you think there might be a revenue opportunity here for website/forum sponsorship?

In this industry, any website that gains a substantial amount of traffic is valuable to businesses just trying to catch the eye of a potential customer. (and our forum is filled with tons of potential customers of the automotive industry) If we can position our new website/forum correctly, we may have an opportunity to generate a *small* amount of revenue for our club to be used for group functions, gatherings, club costs, or just parties !!

I'd rather not put a crapload of ads, banners, etc... on the forum just messing things up. I think we all would agree to this. Rather, I might propose we put a proposal together where we offer our entire forum sponsorship to a certain automotive company. I can see it now...

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I have no problem making someone the club treasurer and having them deal with the "club revenue", maybe we can set up a club Paypal account, and any collected money can go into this account?

I nominate Mike Hahn for this duty, since I fully trust him...and he has shown his dedication to the club....MANY times!

Perhaps we approach GrandPrixStore about this opportunity. I believe that Scott already has an existing relationship with them, so would you be willing to put a quick proposal together and offer it to them first?

I can provide any and all statistics required for the presentation.

Mike,

I sent the NGK sponsorship to them...prolly a month ago, but haven't gotten a response.....I was supposed to send you a copy huh? LOL! I will try and find it, it's on my other computer.
The only picture I attached was the picture that larry has on the opening page of his website with the 22 GPs sitting in Tully's parking lot....thats the best picture we have to show us as a serious club.
