I could get the main page to load, but had a hell of a time getting into the forums.
Don't know if you track this stuff, Dan, or if it even matters. If not, feel free to delete this thread.
After getting the phpBB critial error every few minutes for an hour, I finally got this one a few times:
Code: | phpBB : Critical Error
Could not query config information
DEBUG MODE
SQL Error : 1053 Server shutdown in progress
SELECT * FROM phpbb_config
Line : 214
File : /usr211/home/l/a/larmodot/public_html/unycgp/common.php |
Hope this helps. If not, nuke it. |

For a couple hours yesterday early afternoon I couldn't log on at all. I just got the PHP "could not connect to db" error. _________________ 2018 Acadia

Hopefully you guys can read.... cuz the SQL engine even told you what was going on..
"SQL Error : 1053 Server shutdown in progress"
Occassionally servers need to be rebooted, just like any other computer. And unfortunately high performance servers don't reboot in a matter of seconds like our everyday PC's do. This process takes roughly 60-70 minutes, depending on the magnitude of data housed.
Sorry for the inconvenience. _________________ Shelby GT500 Convertible

Like I said, I got that message after an hour of trying. My conclusion is that there was an error for an hour, then the thing shut down. I also don't see shutting down the same as rebooting. I guess that's me.
I thought it may have been important to relay this information.
I guess not.
Forgive me for trying to help. |

No no... it's all good. I'm just trying to explain why the site was unavailable for an hour. That's all.
Thanks for the info, I just already knew it. |
