Just look for a Fast GTP running real low 12's and I will show you how to race. Don't wait on guy's who aren't going to be at the track just to learn to race. Go to the track and hook up with the guy's who race all the time like John, Larry or myself. And we can figure out a Buick and how to drive it, my Mom has a Regal so I know my way around them. Very Happy I will be there this Friday if it dosen't rain.

Just go to the track and open your hood. Johnny will be drawn to it like a Moth to a light. It is a documented instinct of his. Very Happy

I'm going this Friday with my 17" rims as I don't have my Hoosiers mounted to the 16" rims yet, I'm going to screw them on this year to keep them from spining in the rims like last year.

???

I've never heard of such a thing. I take it they had very little air pressure in them?

Smoking coming off the rims... now that would be interesting to see!

Mike,
At about 14 lbs those Hoosiers start to stick real good when warmed up, and then just when I started to get low 1.8's and a few 1.7 60 footers I noticed the tires had rotated about 3" in the rims. 20 stainless steel screws in each one should hold them in place so I can run about 10-12 lbs in them. I would love to see a 1.6 short time.

I remember that from IDD last year. I knew of the screws, I just didn't think our cars would actually need them.

No Mike, I have not dynoed it yet. I think that will be near the top of a big "to do" list I'll have when I get back from IDD, if I don't do it there on the mobil dyno. At the end of last year the car had a bad timing chain so I was being easy on it and I figured if it broke when I was dynoing I would still be kicking my self now (or still drunk, or both) I am just starting to tune it with the M112 blower, bigger cam and stage 3 heads, but this Friday I hope to see a PB. So "SCREW THE SLICKS"
