I bought the ZZP AFC 2.2 and was wondering if I can use my Tech2 to tune it. If not, what can I use to tune? I propally will have to someday soon meet up with someone to help me tune it, if a Tech2 wont do it. Thats the only scanner I have. Thanks for the help.

If you can scan and log LTFT and B1S1 you can use the Tech II.

Long Term Fuel Trims, and the O2 sensor, Bank1 Sensor1.
Check the URL in Mike's post.

I can look at the LTFT and B1S1 on a tech2. Will that work or do I have to save and log them or whatever. I just hope a tech2 can work.

Usually you might log those with RPMs, and a couple other entries listed on Mike's site. How you would get those into a text file on a computer from the TechII, I couldn't say.

Well I got my AFC today at work and looked at it and read some stuff from Mguzzo and I dont think the Tech2 will work and I ran out of time to relly get in to it at work. One of the guys said just plug it in and leave it in STD mode and drive it. I said I can't do that cause its not tuned and I think it might be bad to the engine until it is tuned.

The mini-AFC is just taking the MAFF sensor signal and adjusting it before sending the signal on to the PCM (basically). It adjusts it by a certain percentage. So you can install the mini-AFC, make sure it's set to 100% and the car will act like it's not there. When you go to tune, you adjust this percentage and the PCM thinks the MAFF value is really the MAFF signal x AFC%.

Change the AFC to 99% and the PCM will think there is a little less air coming in than there really is and will add less fuel, therefore going lean. Or go over 100% for the opposite effect.
