Driver door sag, worn hinges

Door hing sag, started on my 99 GP at about 160K last year, Just replaced both hinges on the driver door to fix this. Bought them from Ed Morad for 30 bucks shipped, painted to match car.
Now I think my 98 GTP is startingthe same problem, it just turned 176 k.
Any body else run into this?

Seems typical for most coupes, due to the heavier doors. I've even heard bushings are all that's necessary in our case. Mine haven't sagged, but hinges like to creak. My dad has a teflon grease that he said I need to borrow.

My doors are OK, but my rear end has the all to typical sag. I have the GMPP setup from around 3-4 years ago, but the rear end keeps getting lower and lower. I wonder if putting the stock springs back in the rear would solve that?

I did the Intrigue rear strut assembly setup a few years back for that (and for help with launch squatting). I'm going to be refreshing them with newer ones, since Impalas also came with the tighter coils, and there's alot lower mile Impalas than Intrigues in the yards.

For you, stock may be enough to fix the appearance, while retaining a lowered front.

seriously though, the rear end on the car keeps droping, sucks. don't know what to do about it.

about $6-7 for four at the parts store

Temporary solution, of course. I've ridden around with them on the street a bunch without concern (other than they can slide or pop out on occassion when you encounter alot of bumps).

Other than that, you basically need to look into a freshening of your components, or going back to something higher.

you did the GMPP upgrade same time as me about. But mine still seems to be OK. Don't know why it happens, I can't really see the spring "wearing out"

Shocks can also contribute to this, and those definitely can wear out over time/use. Ask anyone, especially those who've refreshed a pre-gen's rear shocks. Shocked
