I cut off the blue C2 PCM connector and the OBD diagnostic port from the old car. Some wires, solder, and an old 12V wall wart have made me an offboard PCM programmer! It looks like crap but it works.

I had a spare PCM so I loaded up a bin that I did a MAF tune on. The load worked fine. I'll install it this weekend and do a CASE learn.

Thanks, I have a spare PCM plus a DHP v1.0
So I can keep the one in the car as a "gold" because I know it works, sell the DHP or keep it as a econd spare, and use the third for flashing new tunes as needed. Then if it bricks, I can always swap the gold back in.

Care to make a little wiring diagram for what wires need to be soldered together?

I picked up the blue connector and OBDII connector the last time I was at M&M's, just need to find a 12v supply and figure out what wires need to go where.

2005 called, it wants its harness back. Razz

j/k, have fun with the new toy. For the little effort they take to build, it's nice and convenient when you're dealing with some oddball chassis/engine builds.

I finally got around to building mine. It reads the PCM just fine using HPTuners, haven't tried to write to it yet (need my keyspan adapter before I can use my DHP) I could only find a 2.5A supply so hopefully that'll do the trick.

Cleaned up all the extra wires
