Not sure if anyone has one 'laying around' but I'm in desperate need of a 99-00 4T65E-HD transmission. All my leads have fallen through and the boneyards don't have jack. If anyone has a spare or a used trans, please let me know!!!

what's your budget? Let's say I buy a Domestic Performance 4T65E for $3000. Would you buy my 4T65E with 89K miles for some reasonable amount? What's the going rate for one of these nowadays?

don't all GTP's have the 4T65E-HD? not just the plain 65E?
also, who is domestic performance? I thought Intense was the only company offering a fully reassembled performance tranny?

Thanks for the info Cary! Do you know off hand what he was asking for the trans? I'm sending an email off in a few minutes.

Mike, I'd love to pick up your transmission from you if your looking to dump it . As far as price goes, I was looking at a 4t65e-hd with 30k and it was going for $600. My price range isn't near what the Domenstic Performance or INTENSE trans cost. I was planning on getting the Upstate Performance rebuild for a complete rebuilt tranny for less than $1500.

Rebuilt GTP transmissions are sold by Intense, Thrasher, SLP and ZZP. Plus a few other smaller places. Most of the cost difference is in what stock parts are replaced with hardened parts, like drive chain, stock or single row, limited slip differentail, torque converter, input shaft, output shaft and a bunch of other upgrade parts. A base tranny from Thrasher or ZZP starts at $2000, but by the time I added up all the major hardened parts, it was the same or more the the Intense tranny and still lacked some of the smaller parts Intense included in theirs. I think you can figure what you need in the tranny once you figure your max planned HP. If your much over 325 WHP you probably want most all of the hardened parts.
A gear change also adds cost, esp. if you do the reluctor wheel/ speedo spoof so you don't have to have your PCM adjusted for the gears.
Larry H kept track of cost's on his rebuild, as did JC, so they have nore up to date info.
ZZP was doing installs along with their trannys at preaty good prices, I heard.
