one issue i find annoying is this:

I login, and go to "topics since last visit". Now I have a summary of new topics.

Let's say I respond to a topic. after I post I can go back to my post or back to the forum. But to get back to *my* list of topics, I have to back arrow a bunch of times.

the national forum does it right. If I post, I see my post right away, and the back button takes me to my list of topics.

That would be an issue for Larmo to tackle.

Only advice I can offer is to (on a PC) right click on each topic and open in a new window.

I just log in, and do each topic in order, going back to the main page, until I have no new topics showing.

I'm going to PM Larmo about this. It's not mission critical. Your solution works too.

Hey there fellas..... Guzz I got your PM and this is a great question. At this point I would say that this type of "convenience" feature would be quite difficult to implement. It would likely include reprogramming a few pages substantially.

At this point, Mike offers a great solution in that you should open those links in a separate window. I do this all the time when I don't want to lose a listing of pages or navigation pages. I find this becomes quite a habit at times, especially when Googling and other searches. I've actually found myself right-clicking and opening in a separate window at times when I don't even need to!!!

If doing this is rough to get used to, another thing you might be able to do is just BOOKMARK that page so you can quickly and easily reference it at a click of the mouse. This is quite easy since the page is built on PHP and is dynamically updated in realtime after the page accesses our database. In other words, add a LINK to your bookmarks using this URL:
http://www.larmondra.com/phpBB2/search.php?search_id=newposts

Then, this page will automatically list your unread topics, etc. Good luck, let me know your thoughts or ideas.
