here's what Scott at Great Lakes Graphics thinks will digitize the best-

here's what Sean's looked like again also-

Now, we can do this on ANYTHING (T-shirts, hats, hoodies, sweatshirts, embroidered polos, etc etc) SO, if you guys like this logo, let me know. THEN we need to decide WHAT we want it on and I'll get a quote.

Remember, I'll pay the set up fees Shocked Very Happy

Cary,

First of all that logo is great.... I would be interested in some apparel for sure.

Secondly, do we owe any royalties or usage rights for this logo, or do we wholly own it's trademark? I'm curious, because I think that logo would look much better in our top flash header than what we have up there now, you know?

Do you have a .PSD of the image I can mess around with? I think it'd look great in our header and would love to use it. Let's make sure we CAN use it, though..... let me know.

.PSD? photo shop file? He sent this to me as a jpeg, but I'll ask him. AS far as copy rights go, hell, we own this. The only thing that could ever be an issue is the Pontiac arrow, but TONS of sites and groups use it, so no biggie. You want to use it, go ahead. I also think it looks nice and remember, we can change the colors to anything else we want also.

If the group approves this new logo I'll go have it setup for screen printing and embroidery ASAP. then we can start ordering things Very Happy

Cary, looks good man! A couple things though:
- The spacing between the letters seems a bit off for the 'CGP' part of the logo as well as the text below. I'm sure it was done to evenly space things out, but it looks a little odd to me once split up with the Pontiac arrowhead.
- Is there a way he could outline the UNYCGP text in black? I think it gets a little lost on the white backround. What would the logo look like on a black background? I like my t-shirts black not white! Cool
I know I'm nit picking...

Dan, I have my logo (the black one) in a .psd so you can edit the layers. Not sure if you want that one or the redesigned one.

I agree Sean (after looking at it harder) I emailed your comments to Scott, we'll see if he changes it. The spacing IS off.

Using Pontiac Arrow:

When I looked into getting stuff made a few months back, what Barton told me was that the arrow is licensed to the national club for use, and as a division of the national, we can use it.

Hope this helps.

I highly doubt Poncho Inc. will come after a site such as this or club members if we use the logo. Smile

Well pal... the point of a .PSD is to manipulate and manage image layers. And yes, believe it or now I actually knew I could right-click-save here in this forum... BUT I'd like to work with the original vector image, and this would require obtaining the author's original layered .PSD file, if at all possible.

cliff notes: you can't just take a jpg file and "save as" a PSD and get the same effect.

Soooooooooo.....is there any plan to create an "Associate" member decal, maybe without the Pontiac symbol?

I would love to advertise my association, but the Arrow is a bit of a stretch for me.
