12.0's thu stock mufflars and tips. A few years ago now.
ther a little heavy, so get somthing lighter, for a "upgrade"

I've been saying for a long time that my V6 Cavalier sounded much better than my GP.

I've also been saying for a long time that I've yet to hear an aftermarket GP exhaust that sounds decent at anything much above idle.

I cringe every time my neighbor drives by. Louder than hell and sounds worse than a box of tortured cats.

I don't agree with that.

I've heard some that sound decent at or near idle. Give most a little gas and it sounds like someone's pushing a few bottlenoses into a tuna processing plant.

going with the colder plugs, (autolite 104's) how often can I expect to be changing them?

And WOW those plug wire boots are on their good, jsut for the heck of it tried pulling the fronts, they didn't want to seem to budge, didn't use all my strength but didn't want to break them either.

best method is to get your fingers as close to the block as possible. It's easier to 'push' them off than 'pull' them off

Another "tip" for plug wire removal, while grabbing them as close as posible, TWIST the plug wire boot both ways to crack it loose. Some times you'll feel them break loose, other times you wont. Then, when yougo to re-install the plug wires, use some "dielectric grease on the plug tip, and squeeze some into the boot.

i used to change them when i took it out of storage each spring so probably 7500 miles...

i dont know how long they officially last, but they take 15 minutes to change and cost less than 15 bucks. I say once a year and you won't be sorry

Once a year is fine if you're not messing with tuning (adding fuel, ect).

I change mine anytime I ~think~ of it, esp. if I plan on going to the track.

They're only $12 or so.

For your current setup, I'd get Autolite 104s and gap them .060", maybe .055"

Looks like its coming together to be a CAI/3.5/downpipe/colder plugs/180 t-stat car...all from asking if I could do tuning to stock Smile
