Where did it go?
Are we starting over and using slips as proof? _________________ Good Bye.

HAHAHAHA.....
I can add that back into the site, but my gatherings from last time that it really wasn't used much, and people abused the fact that it was automatic and required no authentication.
Perhaps we have a page with more manual entries... where you can submit your timeslips and after they are validated by a Moderator, I can post them up manually. I think that's a wiser approach, that way we won't have people abusing it and the data will be more accurate and dependable.

This would be a good thing, requiring someone look at the times and OK them before we post them on the forum. Hope it is in place before spring racing begins _________________ 2001 Silver GTP coup 11.880@116.17 Fun Driver

I'd like to see the track scoreboard return. Can we have a table with name, 60', time, speed? Anything else? Name will link to user profile. Moderators or admin can update it?
Larmo - I'll let you add it here, but I can make a separate page for it at unycgp.com if you'd like. |

We can do this for sure. I'll have to brainstorm ideas for data validation prior to publishing. Let me do some thinking and scripting..... |

For validation, show the actual slip to a moderator. I can't think of any other method that is going to be as "fool proof".
There are moderators in every city, there will be moderators at the track, and we get together often enough that getting your slip to a moderator shouldn't be too big a hassle.
That's my suggestion.
Oh, and Gary, I've got a slip showing I ran a good 2 seconds faster than you will. And that is on 2 fewer cylinders. Good luck! |
