I leaped into the 21st century and got a new flatscreen so I am retiring my old TV. Good for the spare room.

27" JVC, purchased in 1998.
Has RF and composite inputs (video, audio L/R) and audio output
Had comb filters replaced two years ago.

$75.00 OBO picked up, or I can meet (will go as far as Batavia on the Thruway)

Not to steal your thread, but what happens when the comb filters go bad? Was it 3 comb filter?

And what did you buy?

Nice, now you need HD cable or Satalite and you will be all set Smile
And maybe a Blu Ray player.

It is a flat screen tube TV. The screen itself is flat, but the rest of it is like a traditional TV. They were the nice thing before the flat panel (what you are thinking of) TV's came out the past several years.

Hello Scott P,
The last time I purchased TV's, 1994, 35" RCA Home Theater, 19" Zenith both color TV's and I have 2 13" Black & white's, no cable connector's. All 4 TV's have never given me a problem.
Thought I would put a larger TV in my garage, to go with my 1956 Olds sofa and other car stuff.

Hey, I can remember only 2 channels on TV, Ch. 2 NBC & 4 CBS, and I remember when Ch. 7 ABC came on the air.

Thanks, for the info, I still have 8 Track Player and tapes and 1950's era vinyl record only Player/Cabinet.

That is why I like old cars, I am old.

Happy Motoring,
Sal

P.S. Hope everyone is having a nice Christmas

Sal, I live in Buffalo (West Seneca).
It's a regular 27" tube-type TV, not a flat screen tube.

Maybe it will go in the basement if no one's interested.

MG

PS I remember watching channels 2, 4, 7, and 29. Occasionally getting a hockey game on CFTOP if you held the antenna just right. Plus the remote control was my dad yelling "get up and change the channel!"

So, what was it like seeing the Declaration of Independence being signed? Very Happy

My parents still don't have cable down their street in Albion. Growing up, I was limited to 2, 4, 7, 29, 9 (CFTO) and maybe 41 (another Canuck station). I think we could get Rochester stations if we turned the antenna the other direction. I remember watching WKBW news with Irv Weinstein, Tom Jolls and Rick Azar.

Ok, now I'm feeling old. Not as old as Guzzo or Cary, but old nonetheless.
