Any update on whether we can hide the poll results? I'd like to implement that before we actually start voting for new positions.
Thanks.

I understand. You want to be able to HIDE poll results until after a user registers, correct? These poll functions will be used for official officer voting?

I don't want anyone (other than mods) to be able to see the poll results until after the poll is over. This should be an option though, so that people can have the choice of creating polls that work how they currently do or have a poll that is hidden.

i think the results should be viewable by two people for this upcoming poll.

larmo and barton only, just to keep things easy and have some checks and balances

just a thought.

ok I see.
Do you want to see HOW everyone voted as well? Or is that not democratic? Shocked

Like what you see in the admin panel? I wouldn't think that would be important - though from a statistical/analytical standpoint it would be interesting.

No, not publicly. But it would be nice from the admin page to be able to see who actually voted, as well as the results.

Or instead of a poll, maybe at least for this purpose, create a forum where users can View (the forum when registered) and Post only (no read, reply, edit(?), delete, sticky, announce, vote, poll create). Forum mods (a specific group for this vote) could of course see everything. This is stock functionality for phpBB2 (admin:forum permissions--not something we mods see), so no fancy stuff needed....

Granted, it wouldn't help for showing a total count of votes, without revealing who voted for who...which I'd prefer to not have. But, if nothing else works, there's an option.

OR I could just set something simple up in the Moderator CP for Mods to see Poll Results.

Possible to set a cookie on the server so that each person is able to cast one vote only?
