I like this forum. It works really good, a few small thinks but I'm used to them.
But this seams to be getting worst. When I 1st start to check post it's fine, after about the 3 thing I click I notice its starts to load pages slower. Till the point of taking a while and not loading at all? Dose this to for posting, somtimes I'll write a reply and it takes forever to send it and it mostly will not send it if it dosn't after 5-7 secs.
If I leave and come back it it somtimes fine loaded 2-3 pages. But then I lost all the new hilighted post and the text I typed and wanted to send it.
Not sure if this is just me, but I know some other are noticing this. Anyone else? And is ther anything that i'm doing? _________________ New Era performance

I agree, and I own and run this site. I run many sites JUST like this and this is the slowest of the bunch. I think it may be because of the many modifications and scripts that I've added to it's shell over time.
I'm considering starting fresh with a new phpBB install, and then adding only the very necessary script addons. (i.e. Calendar, Photo Album, etc.). All data would remain intact (users, posts, pictures, etc..), but the shell would be completely refurbished.
This would require a few days downtown. Thoughts? _________________ Shelby GT500 Convertible

I assume you meant downtime.
I'd be willing to lose a few days of this board in order to speed it up over the long run. |

I keep in touch with a couple of gold GP'ers out in AZ on their boards (which are the best I've used so far, I might add)
Larmo- check the AZCGP boards here-

Indeed a very very nice and well put together website. Keep in mind, that is built on the phpbb shell, just like ours is. So, anything they can do, we can do as well.
The only real difference with their site is the style. They are using a customized theme to their phpbb shell, which is fine. We can do that, but it'd take some time to develop. Time I know I don't have right at the moment.
But yes, a great site. Thanks for the reference! |

Funny, there are some 14 or so members on right now, and the sight is running faster than I've ever seen.
Maybe it just needs enough folks to get the turbo spooled up? |

all she needed was some gauze pads and some 3-in-1 oil. Fetzer valve is as good as new! |
