First of All, This is a very nice forum!

I guess that I am used to a bit more technical stuff, a kill column, and a few other features that I like to visit every hour (err...day). I am really suprised to see SOOOO many people in this area on a single forum, but I would love to see a LOT more locally detailed stuff on the GP as well as the Series II in general as well. When I bought my regal, it was ONLY because I could not find a GTP, and don't get me wrong, I love the car but still love the GP's too. I have spent several hours as a newb again Sad and have to admit that the "local guy" stuff is really cool, but I need more technical and experience type stuff!

Nice Job here guys!

What is it you are looking for?

Basically, ask and ye shall receive.

Oh, and we can add any forums that seem necessary.

I really like to read the hourly (err...daily) kill stories, especially with the imports.

I ran into a camero with a plate of MPRTKLR as he was destroying a civic with a few decals and a fart can and it was just too cool. I know, I know, it is always bad to race unless on a track, but it was something that was pretty cool to document.

There was a certain Regal in Niagara Falls, NY that got nailed on NFB doing 107 in a 50 during a race with a GTP (the Regal wone, supposedly) by a Niagara County Sherriff after midnight on a weekday. I never found out who the drivers were, but it was a pretty cool ride from what I hear!

The other thing I really like to watch is the indivualized "drivetrain" section. Mods are terrible to lump together, too much fluff and stuff. Drivetrain is a great way to talk about, test and interperite results of any specific drivetrain mods.

I know I am way out of line here...I am just a newb on this board. (and I PRAY for forgiveness) I just think that as a Team (club) we can really do a better job of defining, recommending, and helping to administer mods that will make real sense. There are too many guys out there reading clubgp stuff, spending several K in $$$ in "Brian from 2 fAst2FuRioUs said it was hot" mods, when we can help out each other a lot cheaper.

Just my 2cents guys. All I want to do is help out, and save people money!

I have my Flame suit on too, btw, so let it rip!

Have you checked out http://www.3800tech.com? Its intention is to be a strictly technical message forum.

Yeah, it is yet another technical forum I rotate through. Nice folks over there, but still no "local" connection. It is friggin winter, and I have a garage that I am willing to share with Regals and GP's...see where I am going?

Are there even enough people here for more forums? Seems the board is almost too slow for what's here now...Actually it's not thatslow but i'm sayin...if we had a kill forum it'd get updated like once a week if that.

We need more wreckless people around here Razz

I'd rather be 'wreckless,' but 'reckless' is more fun. Wink

Agreed. "I crushed an eclipse." "A neon thought he was hot shit." and "This civic exploded when it tried to keep up with me." would get old quickly. Laughing I haven't had any decent challenges to post anything worth mentioning. Look at my sig... you know I've tried to get people to bite. Smile Not that I think 'kill' posts are bad. Just that traffic is low enough that the General section would probably be appropriate. One quick note, Off Topic is our little clubgp AAG.

A couple things come to mind:

This isn't ClubSi. If as a club we are defined by our kill stories then it's not the direction I want the club to go in. We do fine posting occasional stories in Sightings and we have technical discussions in the appropriate areas such as Mod and Upgrade and Track. If you can't keep up with the discussion threads in those areas let me know and I'll type slower.

I also think we don't need to fragment this forum like 3800tech.com where it seems they have a forum for every permutation of mods you can have ("Hey! A forum to discuss GTPs with DHP, N2O, XP cam, and and ICCU! Yay!")

You're new here. You've probably posted more threads than you've read, which IMHO is bad form for a newcomer. You're in no position to judge yet how the club can be improved in terms of "helping administer mods that make sense." If anything, I think our club is VERY good at helping fellow members make significant improvements to performance both on and off the street. Ask around about borrowing autotaps, analyzing scans, helping install and tune mods. We've all worked on each other's cars at some point.

I think you'll find that the club members here are not the "bolt it on 'cuz I saw it in a movie" sheep. If you want to raise a good technical discussion, that's great. Welcome aboard.

The initiation rituals can begin after your 30th birthday.
