Since IDDVI is incorporating a car show this year, I think we need to get some of our better looking cars entered. If we can get into Marino's garage on Sunday May 1st, how about a Detail Day?

If we get the cars looking great, the will be faster due to lower wind resistance Very Happy and they will only need some minor touch-ups once we get down there.

I've never done this. I barley have time to wash and regular wax it. Will clay remove some scratches?

Clay will not remove scratches or swirls. Its job is to remove bonded contaminents from the paint and make the surface smoother.

I've been known to wash, dry, clay, remove swirls, polish, glaze, apply a few coats of sealant then top with wax.

I then hit the interior, tires, wheels, engine compartment, door jambs, trunk and trunk jambs.

Granted, I don't do this very often. Very Happy

LOL....yeah tell me about it.... I'm sure Mike H. can vouch for me as well...LOL

I will be there BOTH DAYS, and I will enter in the car show. We will probably see cars winning their class that have custom airbrush paint schemes!!

Good luck to all who participate!

I'm curious to see the classes for the show and how the awards will break down. I'm hoping to be involved with the show somehow. I know I'll be helping to touch up our cars. The Envoy will be full of all sorts of supplies, including the majority of my detailing arsenal.

But I've never seen you detailing your car in the staging lanes! Laughing
