I am trying to get a whole bunch of my friends to go to the May 14-15 (Sat-Sun) Driver School at Watkins Glen with GVC-BMWCCA.
This will sort of be my Car Guy Bachelor Party.

The costs for both days is $375, so start saving now. You do not have to be a BMWCCA member to participate. You must mail in your application on Friday April 8th in order to be accepted. If you mail it in later, you will have much harder chance of being accpeted as spots go VERY quickly.

I hope to see you guys there. I had a blast last time I was up there with you guys, even though I blew my motor.

-Scott

I'll try and make it, but I'm not sure about racing the car. I don't think I'll be ready for that this year. There's a few things I would want to do first and of course that's assuming I stay on the track this time. Otherwise, I better not.

Sounds like allot of fun! Would love to try this, but that is the weekend directly after IDD Scott. Since the w.i.f.e. is already pissed that I'm blowing her and my mom off to go race, I don't think saying, "oh yeah...by the way...I'm going next weekend too to try my hand at the road course, potentially wreck my only vehicle (Larry? Laughing ), and then get blind drunk for Scott's bachelor party Shocked

then again, I'm always in the dog house anyways, so we'll see when it gets closer. Perhaps I'll ask my buddy Paul (who's wife is friends with mine) to drag is 911 up there to take the class and make it sound like it was HIS idea to go Laughing then I could pull a "i know it's back to back honey, but Paul wants me to go with him and this is the ONLY time this year we can get in!" Laughing

devious, but it might work Twisted Evil wait till your married 10 years Scott, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about Rolling Eyes Shocked Laughing

Maybe I'll rent a cavi, or truck.

"Yes I want the $24 a day insurence"

Now I just have to scope out a road around there. With a white painted concrete wall. I think a few deer are going to run out in front of me. Sat. or sun night at 2am on my way home from a friends house out there.

I'll need some broken glass the spread out, and some way to make some ruts into this wall?

If anyone is interested in going to this. Your registration must be mailed in next Friday April 8th. I'm going on Vacation for 10 days so I won't be able to remind anyone again.

I might drive up Thursday night and hang out on Friday during the day. I will have to be in Watkins Glen Friday evening and Saturday evening though.
I'll let you know for sure though.
Who would be able to hang out Friday during the day? Maybe sneak out for lunch and don't go back to work kinda thing?

Doug,
I will bring the springs. I'm not 100% sure if I am going to be able to come up Thursday night. If I don't see you I will give them to Scotty Mac.
Can you PayPal me for them? Scott_Barton@hotmail.com.

Pat,
Come on man, it's only like a 21 hour drive! You can make it.

I will be staying at the Longhouse Lodge Motel off of Rt 14 in Watlkins Glen on Friday and Saturday night. We will be drinking Saturday night.
