I went for the 13th since I'm booked up for all of July and the first weekend in August.

July is pretty busy for me. I'd prefer August.

August 13 is the only weekend I have left this summer! I'm booked thru October!!!! And my wife rolled her eyes a little bit at going to syracuse but I said "It's only a 2 hour drive and it will be a nice day."

So let's pick 8/13. OK, who wants to be on the planning committee???

and are we going to plan this on this board or on the mailing list Sad
Because this event is an opportunity for us to pull together again as a club and do this right.

We need:
* Someone to pick a place and get details about costs and make reservation for a shelter if needed
* Someone to coordinate a food list
* Someone to organize games. Not official games but who is bringing what
* A cleanup committee
* Also Scott P you have sponsor information, how do we apply the available funds?

I've shot a message off to Mike L. I thnk the standard allotment was $100 for food and two $20 GC to PFYC.com.

Also, if folks are interested in an SMP sponsored Car Show, I'm sure I can come up with a few prizes.

Whoever brought up the 'Cuse idea should reserve the place. They know the details. I say we grab the larger spot. Our picnic turnout is usually pretty good. We have plenty of members who can put away some food. and frosty beverage.

Brian Ross has taken over as club cook. He passed his trial at Mod Day and I may pass along the Golden Tongs to him. Now all he has to do is put a burn mark on Larry's other leg to be fully initiated. Very Happy

Cleanup shouldn't be too bad as long as folks are responsible. Is it a carry in-carry out place like Letchworth and Webster?

Games? I can bring a set of original (and illegal) Lawn Jarts. We'll just have to keep them away from the drunks so nobody loses an eye.

Food list shouldn't be too much of a problem. Posting it usually works well enough.

I'm setting the date for August 13th. I'm going to need a head count so I can figure out which place to reserve. I'll remind Mike Lewis that we'll need prizes too.
