I sent this to Larry Ott, who covers automobile racing for the News. Hopefully I'll get a response so I can publish after brackets next week. If you guys want the CLub to get some recognition, this might do it.
| Code: | Hi Larry. I'm one of the event coordinators for the Upstate NY Club Grand Prix (UNYCGP), which is a local chapter of the national ClubGP. ClubGP is for owners of late model (1997-2005) Pontiac Grand Prix, powered by the Buick Series II 3800 V-6. Our local membership covers Western NY, Rochester, Syracuse, and we even have some members come from Utica and northern PA for meets. Many of our members modify their supercharged and normally-aspirated V-6s, make anywhere to 300 to 400 hp, and are active bracket racers at NYIRP in Leicester. We are sponsored by the Grand Prix Store, Jim Murphy Pontiac, and Pontiac Enthusiast magazine.
As a local chapter of the national club, we have often have events and might like to get a mention on the Thursday SpeedWeek page if possible. What kind of information (for example, bracket race results, etc.) would be appropriate for submission for publication? If you can let me know the "right" way to do this, I can prepare some information for the News. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
