.
This month we congratulate Mike Guzzo, as he has been voted by his peers to have the Car of the Month.
Mike has been a ClubGP and UNYCGP member since August 2001, when he bought his GP. He even bought a K&N filter for it on the way home from the dealer.
Since that day, he has contributed to the club by:
*Dropping, on average, 0.6 - 0.7 seconds since starting racing. Started with average of 14.6, 14.7 at 94, now running consistent 14.0 - 14.1 at 97-98.
*Joining the 13 sec club with 13.95 @ 98 last year even with the car seat and cheerio power adder installed in August 2003.
*Won the 2002 UNYCGP Dyno Day "Guess your HP" contest with a dead-on estimate of 208 fwhp.
*Set a record for four STB installs at the 2002 mod day and 4 pulley swaps on one stud at 2003 mod day.
*Has been an active member at mod days, picnics, outings, and track days.
And most importantly:
*Mike's not afraid to lose to cammed NA GTs (good thing we only have one of those to contend with locally!)
Congrats again, Mike!

I know.... I promised when I first joined the club to not "pollute" the galleries, and I am just keeping my word! As of now it is still the Upstate New York Club Grand Prix so I will submit gracefully.
As I have said before, the ONLY reason I have a Regal is that I just could not find a GTP. You guys have been great, so I will just wait for the name change to the "Upstate New York W-Body Club" before taking the honors! (The Regals are taking over!!!!) |
