Looks like I am not going to Denver, so I might be able to make it. Just let me know when people are leaving Rochester.

They've been booked up since the beginning of July when I first called. I've tried calling back hoping for a reschedule, but no dice. They are booked up for the whole summer. The guy I talked to most recently on the phone said they book up usually 3 months in advance.

Any other ideas for a location? Syracuse peeps?

then do we go "rustic" and just go to the "first come first serve" spot down by the water?

theres a few other parks around too i can try to get info on if u want.

EDIT:

theres a park down the road from me called lysander park, its right off of 690, 5 mins from the thru-way.

its $25 to rent it for the day, they have a pavillion, baseball diamond, tennis court and basketball hoops.

draw back is the parking lot is kinda small. but i guess u can park on the grass too

ed...what about lakeland park...let's see...it's like a 30 second walk from ed's house, and as far as i can tell, it's usually not too crowded. good lot, pavilion, swings and slides for the upstate performance team, oh, and it's easy to get to.

Just an idea in case everything else falls thru....

How about some contact info? I got the $100 check from PFYC.com for food and stuff. We can use part of it for paying for the location.

I think we should definitely reserve one of whichever options are left. It would especially suck for people coming from Buffalo (or Erie?) if the first come, first served sites were all being used.
