With all the events flying around, I'm thinking about programming into the board an interactive calendar of events where users can post events, blah blah blah.
Would this be useful? _________________ Shelby GT500 Convertible

I think so. Would be nice to have the event plan all in one spot. _________________ 1998 Silvermist GTP Coupe

Me and Scott Preston were just talking about this! So Larmo if you could make a spot to place the events calender, we will work out a schedule and i'll send it to you! |

I must tell you, that the major problem limiting my ability to program this module quickly is this new "skin" or "style" that you guys requested I add to the forums as a whole. I've never been a big fan of it, but if this is what you guys want then I don't have a problem with it.
But I must admit, the forum runs slightly slower with this skin than it does with the original skin that we developed. Also, this new skin makes it MUCH more difficult to program mods to the board versus the original skin.
Just a warning. We could revert back to the original skin and we could add some mighty impressive mods, including this completely interactive calendar. Also, for one of my other boards I'm working on programming a complete Photo Album to add to the board, again I'm not sure if I would be able to implement that into the UNUCGP board based upon this skin we are using.
The decision is really up to y'all.
BTW, Happy New Year !!

AGREED!
What was the original skin? And if it is going to make it impossible to add new features then switch back to the original. IIRC it is the plain jane white background...in which case we can all deal with that. |

I'm sorry, I got carried away with my words.
Yes, I'd love to revert back to the original skin that I had first implemented. It's so much easier to work with and I would be able to add some really nice features to it. (including the fully-interactive Calendar as well as a cool new Photo Album area with auto-thumbnail viewing.)
I still think the original skin looks much better and easier on the eyes anyway, but to each his own. I'll get working on the Calendar and Photo Album. They should be up this week sometime.
Thanks for the input, and sorry again for confusing you like that. I think you guys are going to love the new updates I have in store for the forum. Stay tuned!

CALENDAR UP AND RUNNING !!!!! (obviously with a new skin)
Post your Calendar entries in the "Calendar Entries" forum and they will automatically be entered in the interactive Calendar. (calendar link at the very top of the screen)
More goodies to come....
