Shocked Shocked

How do you like it so far? I still wnat to test drive one, i've seen a couple on the highway, but could never get close enough to see if they wanted to run....of course no one ever takes a wagon serious! Rolling Eyes

Anyway Welcome to the club!

I think it's great. Best car I've owned. Handles well once you learn to compensate for understeer. Pretty fast. On the ClubGP 5.3L forum guys have posted 1/4 times of 13.9xx and a 13.811 totally stock. Comfortable and lots of options for less than 30K. Substantially less for me due to GMS pricing.

I highly recomend the test drive.

Only problem is the new factor means there is no aftermarket yet.

Update. Someone posted a 13.766 today. He did remove a headlight and some other minor items.

Do you work for Delphi or GM? Or does a relative? I used to work at Delphi, but beat feet before the current BS became public.

Neither. I'm one of those EDS computer geeks. Even though we separated from GM we still get the discount. Unfortunately we have to pay some additional tax upfront.

Do you work at Xerox or for another company under an EDS contract?

Xerox - ? Well, that explains why you don't like us Pitney Bowes people! Here I thought it was the Regal!

weren't there a bunch of guys throwing up the BS flag and giving him a hard time because he removed a headlight. "ohh it's not stock if you remove the headlight".

Either way, that's very very respectable for a stock car. I'd like to see you bring yours to the track next year...i'd like to see what the 'average joe' can do...

that 13.7 sounds kind of like a freak car, but I'm wondering if that really is the case or not. regardless...

Yes, I'm at Xerox.
I don't believe the supplier pricing available to Xerox employees is the same. I can log on at gm family first and see all the employee pricing and am eligible for the employee "bonus cash" rebates.

Yep there was a whole stock, street trim and track prep war going on.

Hopefully you won't use me as the average Joe. Without lots of practice I won't show any 2.1s 60ft times. Maybe 2.1s of spin...
Not an easy car to launch and I haven't driven anything powerful since '91.

What, so you get a discount on photocopiers and paper?

Actually, I do. But more importantly I get supplier discount pricing on new GM, Ford and DCX vehicles which is what I was referring to. Very Happy
