Ok heres the low down, man this is going to be long.....
1985 4 door GL auto - dont be discouraged
I bought this car from a 90yr old man, his daughter was actually selling it because it was being kept at her house, she was in her 50/60s if I were to guess. He bought this car new when he was 70 and it was taken away from him by his daughter because he was old and couldn't drive. I am the 2nd owner, my dad being the 3rd - so really only 2 owners. The first owner crashed the car in Long Island, where he lived, in 1994. The front end was meesed up but a friend mechanic said he could throw in a brand new engine and fix everything cheap. He did this, So in 1994 a new front end went on with a new drivetrain. The car had 40k on it then, the odo was rolled back to 000000 and he was off. The odo now say 43,574. so roughly 85k total on the body. He moved to Lpool in 1999, I have every single service record since he moved here. they took this car in for the most common crap, like cleanin the battery terminals....heres the list of what has been replaced since 1999: important stuff: (I have a folder full of everything they brought this car in for)
-rear wheel cylinders -12/01
-fuel pump -7/96
-master cylinder - 9/96
-water pump -8/99
-alternator -12/99
-valve cover gasket-7/04
-trunk latch -3/01
-both oil pressure switches -4/01
-LF tie rod end -12/01
-both cv boots -6/02
-LF drive axle- 7/04
-Timing belt -7/04 @ 34,949
Here is what I have done since I took ownership on 9/04:
Service records for all but the oil pan gasket which I did
-Full exhaust - downpipe back 2/22/05, The cat has a warranty - karpinski 3/9/05
-Oil Pan Gasket 4/05
-frnt engine mount 3/9/05
-Rear Trans mount 3/9/05
-New tires last month - cant remember what they are right now

Options include.. power steering and a/c...the a/c doesn't work, dunno why...I didn't care

THE BAD:
-oxs light is on, but it does not effect the driveability of the car at all
-drivers door is starting to rot out at the bottom, but there is not much rust on the rest of the car
-drivers door handle doesn't like to open all the time from the outside - just needs to be adjusted somehow (I haven't attempted anything yet)
-it will prolly need front pads or rotors for inspection 2/06.....it stops fine, but they are prolly worn, and the brakes make a squeak when you depress the pedal(not actual brake stop squel, just first depression of the pedal)- did it ever since I had it
-no radio

no leaks, no burning, no overheating...great condition besides the door

Interior is pretty much perfect
