Since everyone seems to be doing a cam why not do them all together so if anyone needs help or special tools, it's all there?

Maybe a Cam/Rocker Day, since a few of us are doing rockers as well.

No offence, but that could turn into a very bad idea very quickly.

A cam swap isn't really a one-day job. Well, it is if you start at 6 am, work all day and call starting it up at 11:59 at night a one-day job...

...but that's only if you know what you're doing.

A first timer will take two full days taking into account a run to the parts store for at least one or two odds and ends and food breaks.

I too figured it wasnt a fast process, but figured some of us firt timers could make parts runs if needed to help things run a bit more smooth.I guess it would be a cam 2 days instead of a cam day

The other consideration would be space.
Where we could:
a) park all the cars
b) have room to organize all removed parts
c) still have room for people to get around the cars and parts without disturbing anything
d) be able to leave the cars and parts overnight if need be
e) easily get to a place to crash for the night

It is a nice idea, but considering how spread out we all are, I don't know if it would work that well.

A couple write-ups (w/tools needed):

what about just a local cam day? like buffalo cams, roch cams, etc... that way u stay close enough to home that u can either crash at ur house or at a friends, u'll have the help from the more experienced, and u'll have parts runners... outsiders can travel to roch/buffalo/syr to lend a hand or something

If you have 2 or 3 expereince people working on the car it can be done in a day. I know I can tare down the top end pretty quick. Just need people who are dedicated and be able to work together and at the same time. Ill come out and lend a hand if this goes down.
