I'm kinda new at this club and forum stuff. I'm John, I'm from the Plattsburgh area, and go to school at RPI in Albany. I love my GP, and that's why I joined the club, hoping to find people as enthused about their GP as I am. My family bleeds pontiac. My mom and I have a grand prix each, my sister and brother have grand ams.
My car "Carmen" is a 2002 Pontiac GP SE, 3.1L, pretty stock, for now
So far I have been focusing on exterior appearance, my mods include clear corner lenses and euro-tails, I hope to put on a body kit, ram air hood, sunroof, and a racing stripe of some sort.
For performance mods I would like to install a ram air intake, dual exhaust system, and i've been considering puting the 3800 SC engine in, if I could find one, but I don't think it's going to be an easy swap. I'm expecting to run into computer and electrical issues.
Audio mods include the 2 Blaupunkt subwoofers that I need to replace a wire before I reinstall them.
check it out: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2227547
Hopefully I can make it to an upcoming event!! |

Hi, John, and welcome.
Look forward to meeting you.
Where on earth is Peru, NY? I suppose if it were near Cuba, NY that would be too easy. |

Thanks for such the warm welcome or emoclew, or whatever. I'm actually from Peru, just south of Plattsburgh. I'm hoping the swap won't be too bad. I have "Ins" at a garage here, they said they'd help me with an engine hoist, and let me use a bay, and one of the mechanics is cool with me using his neumatic drills, they also offered truck to transport an engine, etc. I've been paroosing on ebay, but the first question is are the transmissions compatble? In otherwords, should I be looking for the L67 with a transmission, or can I use the current one. PS if you've done this swap please let me know, you will become my best friend quickly.
But back on topic, I have lights i'm trying to get rid of, I'm reposting a similar message to this as a new thread (i guess it's called). |
