I don't know if it's worth it to collect $$ ahead of time. Not everyone will be able to submit payment before that date and everyone will owe more anyway (appetizers, drinks, dessert, tax and tip).

Whatever you guys wanna do is fine with me....as long as I pay exactley what I owe and not more! Since I am at a SERIOUS lack of funds right now(that was the reason for the previous holiday parties being after X-mas).

exactly if i get water to drink i WILL not pay more than 18 bucks for my dinner including tip of course.

this can get very touchy, if you can see how they can split the bill up by groups, couples, single. with the past history a few of us always get fucked
and it sucks!

Ya know what.....I'd be a big fan of people getting their alcohol at the bar. Then you don't have to worry about anyone getting screwed by having to pay more. It's a little less convenient but I have to say when it comes to being fair of being convenient, I'll pick being fair. Just my opinion though.

$18 for $14.95 dinner, tax and tip? Just wanted to confirm that before I make some other comments about trying to make history repeat itself.

Dinner $14.95
+ 8.25% Tax == $16.18
+ 18% tip == $19.09

So plan on throwing in a $20 to be generous.

Most places AUTOMATICALLY ADD an 18% tip for parties of 8 or more. Last I checked, we will have more than 8 people, so I considered the 18% tip customary.

I'm nuking that. It can't be part of your sig because it will then show up in every thread you post in, rendering every thread NWS. If you want to post the pic in off topic and mark it as NWS that's fine.

On a serious note now guys.....I think it would be fair to expect $20 per person. That leaves enough for tax and a generous tip. Also, we need to decide what we are going to have for our main entrees. Also, everyone is still planning on attending right? So far we have 18 with two maybes? Can you guys let me know if those maybes are for sure. I want to call today and give them an exact headcount. I have to let them know about the food by mid-week. Thanks.
