Well since everyone is SO concerned with member participation lately( people want more activity at the track, at the dyno, at a Mod day, etc...) Maybe we should focus on events that don't require members to cause potential damage to there cars???

Plus we have always had decent turn outs for the picnics, so we need to set a date, place and time.......plus we need people to pitch in for food, drinks, snacks, ETC...... Rolling Eyes Why do I see problems already?

Anyway if anyone wants to set this up, feel free!

you mean abandon the tried and true letchworth state park? it's treated us well and is central to most members.

I'd vote for a Saturday in August seeing as July is pretty much booked already. Maybe the UNYCGP weekend with picnic and mod day.

I say no more poles, cause all it leads to is headaches. We should just pick a date ASAP, that will give everyone the most notice so they can take off from work and such.

No more damage is caused by driving to the track than driving to any other destination; nobody said you had to run (and in fact I specifically said you don't have to run to have fun). How many times did Brian go before he actually ran?

Anyways, back to the topic at hand... I actually started to type up a picnic thread yesterday, then deleted it since I figured there was no interest since we've made it into the second week of July without any mention of it.

I say screw polls. Pick a place (letchworth) and pick a date (3rd Saturday in August) and be done with it.

This is true, I didn't think of that part of it....hell my WRX has only made 4 passes at the track because I am to scared to break the tranny. So I spend most of my time talking and taking video!

You beat me to the punch, I was just about to post August 19th and Letchworth state park....this way anyone who is going will have to drive some distance(not like Jay last year who picks a place 2 minutes from his house! Razz )

There now wasn't that easy???
