Word, as in 'hello'.

IMO, in this order:

Intake, for noise and performance

Downpipe to kill knock

Autolite 104z, for the same reason

DHP for teh h0rs3 p0w3rz

3.4 for teh b00st

1.9 rockers for teh fl0wz

After that, you'll get very mixed oppinions.

Good luck.

Autolite 104's are spark plugs.....I think 2* colder than stock

DHP is a new PCM that reflashes all engine control parameters to increase performance.

OH and the Search feature does work......just in case you want to try that out? Razz Razz

Keep in mind, being an 05, your car will respond a little differently to mods compared to what's typically listed, which is generally for 97-03 cars.
Unless you have the ability to scan your car, don't start dropping pulley sizes right away. I'd start with the aforementioned plugs (Autolite 104s), a 180* thermostat and an airbox, open cone filter or FWI. Ported Exhaust Manifolds (PEMs), and a downpipe are good mods as well. Regarding the downpipe, we don't have a u-bend so it's not as critical of an early mod as it was for the previous generation. Once you have at least the first three and some way to at least initially scan your car, you could drop down to a 3.5" or 3.4" pulley.

This thread in the 2004+ section of ClubGP has great first-mod info for our cars: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=2193197

Things to scan with: www.ls1m.com www.aeroforcetech.com www.autotap.com www.hptuners.com (programmer) www.gmv6pcm.com (programmer)

The U bend argument is BS.

The fact of the matter is that the stock DP on all those cars has an inside diameter less than 2" for the first few feet. Horrible design.
