OK, I see what you guys are saying, full blown tunes do take time. Little changes like adding some fuel at WOT or a bit of timing only take a few minutes. Time limits might a good thing to set up based on how many cars want to pull/tune _________________ '08 TrailBlazer SS Black/Black |

Jesus.... Here we go again.
All I did was offer the equipment to use... There are plent of guys here that know how to do tweaking based on "standard" mods, as well as more experienced guys. WTF? I am offering my tuner with open licenses and the godammn laptop to boot, DELIVERED to you all to use for nothing...
This is a bunch of complete bullshit....jese... I am not "forcing" anyone to use it....go to the dyno day and DYNO, if you want to add some timing, adjust fuel - do it, but I am not forcing anyone to do shit!
Kepp my name out of it for God's sake. I don't see any other tunershop package being offered for a weekend for FREE, just for the people who need a basic set of changes, or a minor tune. Get your basic stuff changed, then either buy a tuner and learn, or borrow one and do it until it is perfect - either way, I am just trying to help out the f'ng CLUB! _________________ Sgt at Arms - Council of Elders

ok, this got a little out of hand so let's try to sum up that last page or so with one post...
Gary, it's a super great offer and we really appreciate it. While i'm a little uncomfortable with it due to the fact that shit happens(ie; someone drops it, does something stupid with the software and u start missing files, etc...), if you can find someone or if someone will take responsibility of the laptop and tuner to make sure nothing bad happens to it i'd feel much better about it.
John, thx for looking out, i'm sure most of us understand that for a real dyno tune it takes many hours but for those that didn't know now they do.
As for everything else...
*dyno at your own risk, cars can fly off and there's paper work involved
*the only tuning will be fueling and timing at WOT only
*tune at your own risk, flashing a pcm can kill it but it is unlikely
*gary is not to be held responsible for any damages/changes made to your vehicle by his tuner
other than that let's settle on a place, date, and # of ppl. _________________ 2004 Yukon XL Trying to keep stock

The offer stands....
Tuner
Laptop
R500 Wideband and sniffer for tail pipe.
Delivered to you guys to use. I will even show you how to hook it up, and supervise the hook ups. Plenty of guys in the club can help do basics - if you want to.
Let me know where to be and when, and I will show up with the stuff. I cannot dyno my car naymore until I get a tranny, but I will defenitely be there for the club. Maybe I will bring the Stock Riv and put that on the dyno! |

Noone said your name (except for me inquiring at your results-to-date with V6 tuning as the forum doesn't really have a resident tuning expert...and one would be good to have) at all and noone was ungrateful to you for your donation.
I, as well as others, were concerned at other people's actions with the tuner.
At no point did I say, "hey gary, thank's for messing up a dyno day with your laptop"
As a matter of fact, I believe I thanked you.
And I will again...Thanks for the donation....now...everyone else...don't mess up your car on dyno day. _________________ Hi, I'm Matt. I'm the resident smartass and I have fourblack children: (ok, one's only half black..)
