I work in scottsville so I'll be catching 36 at 5&20 from there. I'll be leaving work early so I can get there around 5ish. Looking forward to see you all there.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they open the gates until 6.
So is anyone else planning on going? |

Is this a "for real" club track night?
I know there is a post that says it is, but are we actually having a club racing series? |

Guzzo says it is, so it is.
Doesn't sound like there's going to be anyone there. Since I don't get points (boo hiss) no reason for me to go there by myself. |

Yes.
The winner and runner-up at the end of the season will get at least $20 each (or prizes of equivalent value). There's a $20 buy-in to participate, due on or before the 6/6 event. You must meet the eligibility requirements, and follow the rules posted here. At least, I've got $20 to back that up.
Pending approval by the Bracket Series Coordinator.

I'll be at Lowe's at 6p and hang out for a few min, then be on my way. |

Jerry - I heard that you improved your times last night. I figured you would. It takes a couple trips to the track to get the hang of it.
And did you actually win the first place bracket racing trophy last night? That is awesome, congrats. |

Thanks guys,
Yea Carl, second time there.
There was Brian/myself and one other GP that I think is a member but I didn't get the chance to talk with him.
It kinda sucked being about the last guy to leave the track at 10:30.
They gave me my trophy and as I was was leaving I looked at it and it said 1st place Import/Sport/Subcompact?? WTF
So I went back and they said the gave the trophy for domestic to someone in another class. They made up a new one that just says 1st place on the front.
It was a good experience . I had a hard time getting my launch down, Brian suggested to try leaving traction control on. BAM 60' time dropped and all was good from there on out. Thanks Brian! |

Rock on! Sorry I didn't stick around. Did you have to go up against the mail man?
If you go again on Sat so Karen can get her ride, try practicing with TC off. Avoid the water as much as possible, and stomp the gas to spin the tires a few feet up to the line. Launch around 1500rpm+, and ease into WOT. Practice that a few times to learn how fast you can depress the gas without spinning a lot (a little is good), and you should be able to do better than with TC on.
I got a new PB, too: 13.647 @ 103.22 (2.232 60') ...unfortunately, my dial-in was 13.8! lol oops....just one point for me. |
