^^^You get paid for advertising? Laughing

I dont think he was correcting Johnny, I think he just caught a wiff of his attitude already.
Whats wrong with someone learning. People like John didnt have NewEra with his GP years ago, and well ~all know~ how fast he was. If the guy was saying that he was putting a cam in through the TB and couldnt figure out why it wasnt working..then yeah, push NewEra on him, but if the guy just wants to learn on his own, he's ok.

Putting a maggie on an LS6 intake manifold is analagous to putting a cam through the TB....

But I didn't want to have to be the one who said it.

The fact of the matter is--with such a good resource so close by, it's foolish not to take advantage of it.

It's not like ZZP is in Chili.....

I don't have a attitude, I dont know were that comes from? But just because someone dosnt have the best typing skills, and dont have alot of time to type out huge replies. Dose not equal a attitude.
Everyone knows that in real life, I try to help people out, and how you read some post on the internet shouldn't equal I have a attitude. thats ignorant to say.

I'm all for DIY, and thats a great way to learn. Some of the fastest cars were all home garage, and parking lot build Cool You can have professional results form DIY moding. Im going to push people to learn, But also pass some knolage. As I also know the other side, 1st hand. And what can happen, when you mess your own car up. A very easy 1st timers thing like a LSx FAST intake install, using the wrong bolts were the go, using Stock tq setting= you cracked your $900 intake. I see it many times a year.
Also look around this site, how many had little problems with there own cam install, and ended up breaking internal parts. Or pulling you lower intake, and blower off 2-3 times. On a easier DIY install. Looking for a problem you don't know whats wrong. That added up to $100+ is gaskets, fuilds, and your time. Its not uncommon to end up spending more money DIY 3-4 times before you get it right. But thats a price you pay for what you learned. Some people never find a problem with there DIY install, but there car isn't running 100% to the performance level it could be, If the parts were doing there job correctly.
Nobody is wrong or right on this, you can do what you'd like. But everyone is just helping with there 1st hand experiences I know for a fact.
