I'm taking a couple days off this month and will be doing some mod work.
August 17 and 18 (Fri and Sat). Feel free to stop by if you want to. I;m repairing my AC (replacing condensor) and will probably be pulling off my SC to replace the coupler. Hey, how's those IC plates get in there?

as long as ur reusing ur radiator, u can use the clips for the trans lines and won't have to mess w/ the actual fittings. there's a metal horseshoe type clip that holds them in, just don't lose the clip. _________________ 2004 Yukon XL Trying to keep stock

The main thing I need is a pulley puller. Once I have all the goodies on I'll take it easy until I get a scanner on it to see where I stand. |

Decided to go to mufflerman after work today, glad I did, the bolts holding the flanges together were very rusted, so much so they torched them off, needed about a 5 inch extension to get the post resonator section to attach. Out the door for 75 bucks.
Still ahead of the game and now I have a 1 year warranty on all the work they did (if a leak appears at a seal etc)
So far I like the sound, more or less just louder than stock but it has a bit more rumble now. All in all I'm pleased.
Hmm maybe all I need done Saturday is a pulley puller if I tackle the T-Stat after work at some point |

Update on progress
Got the AC condensor R&D'd.
Pulled the SC and changed the coupler.
Spent two hours scraping gaskets. Ick.
Installed SSIC and SC. Installed fuel rails with new injectors.
Then the UPS guy arrived with a PLOG. So tomorrow that's going on and new fuel pump.
tonight i'm double checking everything so far. I didn't like the way the injectors felt when they pushed down into place. I oiled the O rings and cleaned out the bosses, so I'll push them down again. And there are other things that don't mount now that the SC is an inch higher.
anyone in buffalo have a stock SC belt? I have a 660 for a 3.4 and need a longer stock belt. |
