Ok, with just a few days remaining, let's make our list of what we are bringing to the event. I don't think we need three jacks, 10 jack stands, four toolboxes, etc. We also should have some spare parts available in case repairs are needed. Here's what I've come up with. Feel free to add to tthe list. I'll edit my original post to keep everything in one spot.
Tools:
Jack - Larry
Jack Stands
Hand Tools
Tire pressure guages
A-Tap - Scott M, Larry?
Parts/Supplies:
Car wash supplies - Scott P (duh)
Oil/tranny fluid/coolant - Scott P - Amsoil 10W-30, Syntec 0W-30, Valvoline ATF, Prestone Dexcool,distilled water
Tensioner pulleys
Belts
Coolers for ice bags?
What am I missing?

I'm not drinking too much as I've got to lose this extra weight I have in time for NYIRP Street Nationals. We are winning the Push the Pick-up contest this year!
BUt, I will have a few beers. It just wouldn't be right if I didn't. |

We also need to finalize plans where to meet and what not. I would like to spend the night somewhere in rochester wed night so we (Scott M and I) do not have to drive from syracuse. I am sure we will be helping Johnny with his car..... as for the tools, I think it is a good list. I have a few belts and other oddball things I am planning on bringing. I would recomend eveyone bring their own change oh clothes and toothbrush and hell why not some soap too.. _________________ Mike Gorzynski |

I will have a small jack. And I'll have my LS1M Palm, although I'll probably be using most of the day during racing. I'll have tools, SC belts, DUB pullies and a jump starter/air compressor.
Does someone have accessory pullies and a belt to bring?
I would also suggest everyone take time to look at a map to see where we're going (route, town, hotel, race track). And I assume everyone is all set on hotel rooms, etc. |

OK what exactley is everyone planning on bringing? I figure if everyone puts down a list, we can at least have a good idea of what we will and won't have.
I will have.....
Club Laptop and A-tap with both batteries fully charged
My Camera with a blank tape and a nice fully charged battery
Cooler with a couple bags of ice
Beer(prolly just a 12 of something on sale)
Does anyone want me to bring my little grill? I have a little portable propane grill that can cook 4 burgers at a time. That way we can cook up some burgers and dogs and we can all chill out and drink beer...since it's supposed to be in the 60s.
Anyone have one of those small little pop-up canopy tents? at GPG the virginia club had one and we sat under it all night drinking...plus it served us well when they were working on cars cause you could cover the work area and keep yourself from getting sun-burned.
I'm just throwing out some ideas....if anyone else has some, feel free to add them. |

I've printed the route from Mapquest and compared it to a map. It looks to be pretty direct. We take 90 to 71 South then to 480 in Cleveland and eventually to 80 West. The hotel is 6 miles south of 480 of off Rt 250.
Mapquest puts the trip at 331 miles and 5 hours, 21 minutes. We do run through Cleveland, so avoiding a rush hour would be advised. Leaving at 9:00 am will allow us to miss all traffic.
I'll also be trying to obtain a TripTik just in case of road contruction, etc. |
