Where have my pics gone? I read that there were problems. Will they be recovered or are they gone foreverrrr?

Larry,
if those weren't backed up on the server, I *might* have them still around from when we moved to your host. I'll look for them tonight. Granted, they'll still be a few months old...

OK, sorry. I forgot to post more details. Bad news on the images.
The forum files were basically gone and I had to recover them from my computer. But the phpBB forum files are all static code, the important stuff is in the database which was fine - no data lost(users, posts, etc.). And I do have a recent database backup.
However, the stuff people upload (images for the gallery and avatars) may be lost. That is the only stuff that changes that is in the forum directory. The backup on my computer is from the transfer from Larmo to me plus my recent code changes. So recent gallery images and avatars are probably gone. Sorry, that's my fault for not having a recent backup and assuming the host had a regular backup. I think they are gone.
The pointers to them are still in the database. So if I had the images and give it the correct filename, it will pop back up. Or we can delete those missing entries and upload new ones via the forum. If anyone wants to do that, I basically need the files and then I rename them and put them in the directory. Or you can just delete your image/avatar and upload it again. |

I recovered the images from the Larmo transfer. Those should be there. The newer stuff I do not have. |

Matt - I did a quick search and it looks like most of your pics are there since they are mostly older pics. Did you have a bunch missing? Which ones? Basically stuff from sometime last year and newer is missing right now. |

I've got no pics after April 3, 2007... the April 6, 2007 ones and newer are red X's now. (I've probably still got hard copies on my other computer, if someone viewing a CGP post I linked them in wants to see something anyways.)
