|
|
To make a long story short, I want to know if anyone that is going to be helping me, or can get the help I need to me, somehow, can get me a tune, good enough to make it from where I am camming, to Overkill motorsports in Canada. With shipping, and all, will wanted a little too much than I had expected for a base model tune, so I was wondering if there is anyone on here that can get me a tune from point a to b here, nothing record breaking, lol.
Mods:
(Copied from the e-mail I sent Will)
I will be running 42# green top injectors, SSAC headers, XP cam, P and P gen 3 and LIM, this is a top swapped motor (9.4:1 compression- due to stock head gaskets), it will have a driled 180* t-stat, and for the ride up there, I figured I would run my 3.6" pulley, but when it comes to your street tune, I figured I would run a 3.4 at least, I would probably like to get it tuned on a 3.3 pulley. The TB I will be running is the ZZP 78mm billet, and I will be running a stock MAF in that (aka 99+). I do not have the MAF yet, but I was told that the MAF sensor is the same from the L36 and the L67, just differnet tables, is that true? Oh and this will be on 93 octane pump gas, and I would like the idle speed to be set at 950, as I will be running a stock timing set, and would like the least amount of strain on the timing set as possible.
Do-able? Thanks. _________________ 1998 Monte Carlo Z34 - 12.94@107.71 Street tires (Retired)

I can do it, if you happen to be in the area of the Lancaster track when I happen to go there, either next weekend or in Sept when our RoC Modified circuit returns.
Otherwise, I'd need a good reason to come 3hrs west just to tune an XP car.

Well the car won't be cammed next weekend, but would you be able to get me a decent base tune? PM me on how much you would want for a good tune, because I already have Overkill priced out, and I was also thinking about pricing out NEP, but obviously I'd rather the money go to a good guy such as yourself, so let me know. Is there any way you'd be able to show up on the 30th and help drop the motor back in the car, then tune it afterward? LMK.

They want $400 to tune my car and dyno it when I called wifey says the car is on a strict diet and I have to finish her damn kitchen before I buy more shit for the car. Damn women and their sense of priorities! |

IT's 400 because it's full of non-stock parts and he's probably going to have to change...everything.
Don't forget, there aren't a lot of options discussed on this board where you end up with a dyno graph in-hand...
We all know FWD sucks and it's probably going to suck at the track unless you really don't care about breaking parts...at least you'll have bragging rights and will be a slightly more well-informed bench racer than the rest.
(Don't take that personally, I'm guilty of exactly the same thing...) |

LOL, I love breaking shit. I get all giddy and happy inside when I know I destoyed something. Kind of like when I snapped a 1/2" breaker bar in half and brought it back to Sears for an exchange. The lady asked what happened to it I said it fell apart from my manliness!
Hey anyone ever try this guy for a tune? http://www.baldturbofreak.com/
He's my neighbors brother in-law or something some how they're related. Seems do do some cool shit but I heard it's a lug dyno or something to that affect. where they hook it up to the lug nuts rather than the wheels. |
