No SES lights. The BCM is the Body Control Module, its the black box down by your parking brake. And yes, the gear indicators work.

Doesnt the remote glovebox trunk opened become disabled when the car is in gear? I wonder if maybe there is a switch thats stuck making the opening think the car is in gear when its really not if the car does disable it. Although the clicking from the BCM makes me think thats not the case, it might be worth looking in to.

Took a while for my SES light to come on. When it did, the gear indicator lights stopped working. It does really sound like your neutral safety switch. It's not a bad job and the part runs $30. May be worth a shot. The only thing I'll add is that when I swapped fuses, my trunk would open. Then the fuse would blow when I went into reverse.

Do your bu lights work?

The thing circled in the picture below is what was clicking. I put a wad of tape inbetween to stop it, and maybe that's why my SES light ended up coming on. idk...

Hmm, that might just be the problem, as his reverse lights do not work, and Im pretty sure he keeps blowing fuses as well. I'd almost bet money at this point its that nuetral safety switch.

Dude just bring it over to the house. Schematics are confusing to look at for a n00b, but the basics are simple. All you gotta do is use it to trace wires until you find the fault. Im free tomorrow night so if you wanna bring it over, I'll be home in the afternoon. I gotta run to Binghamton with Jake in the morning but should be back by 2 at the latest I would think.

Ok so I got the part. I dont know if I got the right part though. The part I got is on the tranny in the engine bay. My brother, Rich, was tellin me that he didnt think it was in the bay, he thinks its the part inside the console. I didnt attempt to do it today cause my tranny was too hott and I didnt wanna burn my arm off. I think im gonna make Rich help me this weekend if his leg feels better.
