do i need to get an aftermarket pcm for someone to be able to put a custom tune in it

you should be able to have someone with Hp tuners or Dhp tune your car as long as your pcm isn't locked which it shouldnt be if its stock

pretty much what he said. there are mail order PCMs but there pretty much garage. the ZZP one is pure dog shit. yes i had it in the GTX

Joe - You don't need a different physical PCM, they are all the same. Most people just overwrite their factory programming with a tuner. You can also buy a spare and swap back and forth if you don't have access to a tuner. But in most cases that is not necessary.

dont get me started on the mail order ones, they BARELY do anything to them. the fueling remains untouched.

when i had my 3.5 pulley setup i tried using a zzp file and intense file, my car couldnt even handle them at idle the car would just die

WHHAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? you mean I just cant slap a tune on that baby and go? I mean its not like tuning at a different altitude or time of year has anything to do with how the car would run. DAMN
