Haha, is this guy technically going by squatters rights? Your shit has been in my yard for x amount of time, so now its mine.

IIRC it was like 3 years it had to sit before it actually became yours.

All I know is it was sitting at a Mack Truck shop in Henrietta. Nobody claimed it in a few months, so they said screw it and wanted it off their property. I honestly have no idea on the laws regarding something like this. But no key, no title, no registration, no anything in the car telling who it belonged to or why it was there to begin with. So screw the laws, the car was fair game.

We like to use the term "pre-enjoyed" Laughing

Ok, I just talked to Christie, it her and her bf Mike that have the car, she said to give her a call or text message, as it's to just have you contact her directly so I'm not making things complicated by playing middle man. Her number is 585-330-1701, she can answer at pretty much any time you call or text. I know they have plans this Saturday for her birthday, but they might be available Sunday, not sure. Either way, he said he can have the exhaust pulled this weekend.

I looked around for stock catbacks, and after a few mins of searching on GPONA and ebay, wasnt able to find anything. I have never actively searched for that sort of item, so I dont know where to look or where to begin pricing. Which again is why I stress people to make an offer.

I'll let him know about the catback, I'm sure he can get that dropped this week no problem. I'll probably tell him to pull the top end either way to try and unload that at some point. Thanks man Smile

GPONA is a n00b site, with just a handful of folks who came over from ClubGP. CGP is where you want to look for current high-traffic classifieds. Also, car-part.com is the site you want to browse to see what junkyards are getting (most are well above accepted values on items, but gives an idea what the low market prices are... like $125 for driver's door). Wink

If he's going for the catback, tell him to bring a cordless sawzall or grinder out there, because those 2 flange bolts are completely rusted, regardless of year. Also, WD-40 is your friend to help remove the rubber hangers without any real effort.

Tails don't look too bad, I may make an offer tonight on them.

Then again you thought a stock cat back was worth $200 Shocked

you'd be surprised what the un-informed will pay. They may even think $200 is a steal if the dealer is asking $700 or so.

anyhow, i've sold things on clubgp for far more than their worth. You just have to wait it out till someone bites.

I picked up the torquestars tonight. Mike said the State Police actually got involved, and looked up the VIN and all and could not track it to anyone. Kinda strange but thats what he said.

On a side note, does the car have to be running in order for the heated seat to work? I hot wired the ACC and IGN1 wires and tried the heated seat out and it didnt work but I cannot try to see if mine would work without the car running.

I'm wondering if maybe the seat heater works off of the BCM? Good to hear you got the torque stars, did you end up taking the seat or no? Someone on GPONA was interested in the set but if you're still thinking about picking it up, I'll tell him it's still pending.
