Wow... alot of fail from many parties here, as this got off-topic.

Back to reality, we've returned victorious from our Wisconsin racing trip yet again, so I'll re-affirm my own obvious attendance to the meet.

While I hope nobody expects to get $hitty at a public dinner (especially at the prices brews are at restaurants), the idea of car-pooling is nice. Depending on the final plans made over the phone/txt among various local groups, I'm sure it can be arranged amongst yourselves.

Looks like we should have a good turnout, as there's alot of people I talked to, who are not on this forum, also planning to attend.

Calm down, Corey. I got this.

Scott, I spelled a word wrongly.

I apologize whole-heartedly.

I hope that my obvious lack of command of the English language does not influence what impression you must have of me.

You will know me when you see me for I will be the one with "Stoopid" written across my expansive forehead.

Thank you for your well written and adult response to my post. It is a refreshing change of pace from the previous one. I just couldn't understand how one could honestly think that "Carasol" was the right spelling. After saying out loud (in my head, with the rest of the voices), I reached my "phonics" conclusion.

Bad spelling and grammar on forums is just one of those things that tend to annoy me. When someone like you responds and admits the mistake in an adult-like fashion (although, a little self-degenerating) I feel better. It is just the ones that respond with all caps, or calls of "Grammar Nazi" that make me feel sad for those people.

I hope everyone that can go enjoys the party. As someone that has organized (and ended up paying some out of his own pocket) an UNYGCP holiday gathering before, I know how much of a pain it can be. The gatherings are usually fun. but there always ends up with some issue with money.

So... can someone clarify if we are go-karting or not?

I left that open for discussion at the dinner. One reason: People will be more inclined to continue hanging out, if they get comfortable with the group after some chatting. Another: It's not right next to the restaurant, so part of the discussion will involve some convoy planning to go over there, and people will know if they want to spend he extra time & money at that point.

If you make your decision beforehand, that's fine. Don't want to have just 3-4 people's choices posted here, and make it look like that's the whole group's consensus, and screw up the vibe for the many others who don't post their opinions every 5min.

It was probably covered already, but how much is it for the go-karting deal anyway?

There's a link in the original post, if you click on "Canastota Kart"... <- or click it here. Very Happy Prices are shown on their "Check Us Out" page. I believe it's $6.50 per race, which is ~5min (laps take something like 15-20sec, so that's about 15-20 laps in 5min).

Is there a preferred way to get to Quaker from the 90? It looks like you have to take 690 and go around to exit 5 and then come back west.

You can get off at Exit 39 and it's actually pretty darn close.

Take 690 E to State Fair Blvd/Van Vleck Rd. Turn right and it's your second left (the continnuation of State Fair Blvd). Just follow it down a little ways and it's there. You can actually see it from 690 if you're looking for it.

Also, FWIW, I'd suggest Coleman's or Rosie's on Tipp Hill or a trip to Armory Square after for those of us of age. Shit, depending on if I feel like coming back from Tug Hill or not, that may be all I do.

Dave - What happens at 5? Is there a bar there, where we can hang out until most of us are there? I was concerned that we don't know how many people are going, how many people need to be seated, some will be early, some will be real late, etc.
