Welcome to the board. No matter how many times I've moved around the country, it's always been fun to reconnect with this crew for picnics and track days when possible. _________________ 2004 Regal GSX - YouTube channel Stattama T67BB, A2W IC, ST5, heads, L32, GMR diff/chain (11.46 w/ Z7 T66, IS3t cam)

well i contacted wbody store and they told me that they can change the top swap conversion kit from a l67 to a l32 for an extra $300, so it would come out to about $1900 wich includes every possible thing i would need, or there's option b and thats buying a l32 block with everything from a salvage yard for $1000 and taking the chance that of it not being a good one and plus the l26 engine with top swap will give me 5% more gains then the l32 will, what do you think |

hey scott welcome. always glad to have fresh meat, I mean new blood in the crew.
traffic on the site varies depending on time of year and whether or not rick got laid.
we should be having a meet sometime in january whereby every member will want to attend, 30 will plan to attend, 6 will show up, and 1 will get stuck with the bill at the end of the night.
we also have a picnic at letchworth in the summer.
where the hell is freehold anyway? _________________ 1998 Silvermist GTP Coupe

WHAT, I've been married for 10 years I get laid every 3rd phase of the blue moon in a leap year. You wouldn't happen to have a single hot looking sister who likes married men do you? |

He's got an 07 base, the GT option might've been the only one close to that for avatar/profile?
Anywho, being the resident topswap guru, I would suggest the L26 bottom if you want to learn how to dig into the engine, or the full engine swap to save parts hunting and get it done with slightly less work. The compression difference would help give a little safety buffer using an L32 bottom, to learn the modding more, and you'd still have thee L26 sitting there if you want a high compression project for later on.
As far as buying an engine, I've had alot of good luck with junkyard L32's. Just see what the price ranges are for different miles, and weigh your options. When the time comes, I can share more detailed info and pictures regarding this. |
