Should we limit the size of signatures? We don't have a tone of traffic now, but I personally find long signatures or signatures with tons of useless text annoying. |

I don't know if it can be enforced, but how about an agreement that everyone limit their signature to once per thread? |

Define "tons of useless text." There's a 300 char limit to the sig size.
I have three lines, but a couple of them use a smaller font. I just didn't think it looked 'right' having them all the standard font. I agree that it's annoying to see sigs longer than people's posts though.
In general, I can't say that peoples sigs are outrageous. I would say that images over a certain size should be limited in sigs.
As far as doing one sig/thread, that's not a bad idea, but people WILL forget...or like me, are just lazy. I know some boards will do that automatically, but I don't think phpBB2 does (maybe there is a mod?).
My $.02. Don't spend it all in one place. _________________ 2018 Acadia

FYI - follow the directions in the "autonotify thread" and you can turn off sig lines. |
