Because 90% of those registered are not active, so we should go on the opinion of those who regularly use the site. |
Exactly. |

Yes, please note the number of total posts made by those who are giving their opinion.
But yes, everyone's opinion matters. Some people might think it's cool, but unfortunately other people have to worry about turning their volume down everytime they go to the webpage.
Maybe we can use another link that takes us directly to the forum, skipping the front page? |

I personally like the sound, but to me it's not that big of a deal. I mean...who doesn't like to see thier car immortalized in a flash banner zooming in to a sweet sound effect...but in all seriousness...when i'm deep into a deftones album and my ears are bleeding from the copius amounts of music filling my room...and i log on the forum and hear that...it does kinda cramp the style....if it stays or goes, doesn't really matter, but even as a supporter of the sound i say it's such a problem for some people that it might be a good idea just to do away with it.
larmo, i know you spent a rediculous amount of time and energy making this site so sweet, and i dont want to see you ditch something you worked so hard on, but i think my vote will be for getting rid of it...just because that might be the best thing 'overall' for the club...keep the banner and all that animation i dont think that's a problem...but maybe no sound? I know it's not the same...but it might just be a better idea...
...one kid's oppinion anyways...

It's all good, guys. I won't take it personally.
Brian and I are working on a php script to add to the header where each user can choose whether they want sound or not. In theory, their choice will be stored in a cookie and will be remembered each time the user returns to the site.
This is all a theory right now, and I will try to ensure that it comes to fruition, but there will have to be some major testing. Of course, only if you guys think this is a good idea... _________________ Shelby GT500 Convertible

Yep... I'm playing around with the header. It still isn't as good of a quality logo as it could be if I could get my hands on a .PSD. (hint hint, Cary). Now the flash is embeded in the header that is applied to every page. And yes, the music has been removed. (fukkers ) |

Yeah I'm still not entirely happy with the header.... its still gonna need some work but at least we've got it embeded in the auto-generating header file. |

Thanks, but the issue is that we do not have the original .PSD.... I believe Cary is trying to track it down for us... |

Disregard. Trick has been overruled.
Dan, can the header be made static so it doesn't "reload" on every page? |

I asked Scott a bunch of questions and also asked him to fix the spacing. He is working on it and I'll get a new "fixed" logo soon. I am also trying to get the .psd file Larmo, hold on _________________ 2000 GTP 13.5 daily driver
