The holiday Party last year wasn't until February....so It doesn't HAVE to be during a Holiday season, just needs to be at a time when we can have the maximum number of members in attendance.
I am trying to plan stuff, but it's hard to do so when everyone has a diffrent opinion, heres the Ideas I have thrown out since they take away from the point of the holiday party....
TIG BITTIES.....GONE!
CANADA.....GONE
Rent a Party room......Too much money
So that leaves us with finding a NICE restaurant, where we can all get together to have drinks and dinner. And then after that everyone is free to do whatever they want...whether it be TIG BITTIES, or Drink more.
Also I was thinking the middle of January to the end of January which gives us more than 1 month notice, and gives everyone time to celebrate the holidays without having to worry about fitting in a holiday party. |

I like the nice restaurant idea. However, we have teh same drawbacks with our club. We have people that don't pay. We have loud people who wouldn't do well in a nice restaurant. Then, we have the problem of the headcount. A low headcount drives up the per person cost of a meal. |

Pay in advance. That way, if they don't show, it doesn't matter, and if they do then everything is covered. |

I really like the pay in advance thing. $25 tickets for the 'Holiday Party'? I think it would work out well. !'d still like to have it at a nice resturant. Maybe we could even get dressed in something other than jeans and a t-shirt? Could be cool... |

Keep in mind, the one estimate I got was 40-50. Add in tax and tip, and you're adding another 10 or so per person (minimum).
For $25 a person you'll be sticking to MacGregors or Perkins. |

Not exactley, the GP Store is giving us $100 toward s the food/activities, so that rtight there covers tax and tip. So if we can get the cost down to say $30 per person.....and yes I have raffle tickets, which we will sell for the pre determined amount. If you plan to attend you will have to pay in advance, or plan to pay when you meet us...no pay, no FOOD!!!
I would like to keep costs under $35, but I am willing to go as much as $40.....sorry to anyone who doesn't have the money, but after the past problems with missing money when it comes time to pay the bill everyone will have to suffer. Also to all the college students, I want to have this in late January so you will have the entire holiday break to make some money....SO WORK!!! |

Yeah, and if it were up to me I would be working cause being un-employed SUCKS!!!! AAnd why should I have to pay for everyone? if you are gonna bring up the fact that "you are paying for me, that won't work, since I have MORE than paid for my un-employment with all my taxes.....and since each company pays into un-employment my shitty company actually paid for my collected money! |
