|
|
On other boards that I am a part of, there have been threads that have cataloged everyone with scantools, factory service manuals, etc... I was wondering if there is such a thread here...? I ran a search, but came up empty, but I did see a number of threads for people asking to borrow a scan tool.
We could kind of lump scantools & programmers together. What do you guys think?
Probably want to list your name, town/county, scantool/programmer as well as any extra programming/scanning capabilities it may have...
So each post would look like:

maybe add a field to the user profile to allow us to add what tools we are willing to make available to the club. _________________ 1998 Silvermist GTP Coupe

Well, the registry would be only what you were willing to help other people with. I don't know if I would want to allow someone to borrow my setup (laptop & autotap), but if they live close, they could stop by and we could use it together... That type of thing. These things are EXPENSIVE! |

That is a DAMN good idea! If only people would use the profile to be accurate instead of "from Mars"...

Yes, the profile would be a better way of doing it. Many of the other forums that I am on just have a single sticky that is managed and updated periodically. If you have a scantool and you wouldn't mind helping someone in your area out, you post your information (as I have listed above). People that are looking for some help just have to look in that thread to find someone in their area.
Now I do like the profile thing because that would allow people to run a search for others in their area and see who has the tools required. A VERY good idea! |

Maybe I could tweak the individual user's "SHOWROOM" to include this feature??? _________________ Shelby GT500 Convertible
