Hey Gary I just bought these rotors a few weeks ago. Cost me $150 for two Cross Drilled & Slotted rotors. Seem to be good quality.

I'm sure I'll get harassed for not buying plain rotors Very Happy

Raceshopper is a good place to buy all your brake parts....I plan on buy my rotors and pads from them once I can save enough money... the SP Slotted for my car are $152 each for the fronts, and the Ferrodo DS2500 pads are $136. unfortunatley i just missed a group buy on them for $96!! Mad

My last set was a set of plain rotors, be it 110 each...

Is it worth buying the slotted rotors? I am not really concerned with cost to a point, but NEED stoping power overall..

Gary if you plan on keeping your car at the 1/4 mile track and have no plans for solo racing (cones in an open lot) you should buy a good quality standard replacement rotors and hawk or ebc pads.

I have power stop rotors from I forgot the price? and hawkHPS pads from pepboys there wer like 50-60? they work great, and don't wear inot the rotor. But have dust if you do 130-50 breaking. (Ive seen sparks fling out of other peoples glowing rotors "driving" at night Shocked start to fade if you don't get some cool time after some 100-40 stops. thats not normal agressive street driving. lol rotors are still fine tho.
I might get the hawk HP+ if they make them for the car?

there been 2-3 post about this I rmeber the price and were I got them from

I also put moorse cermica pads on a mild gp and those are good and have little (you can see) dust. Got them ar parts america/advanced auto, I think ther were in a durabrand box tho? what I was wering of that but it said "moose cermic" (reboxed or distutied by..) on the box.

perfoamvce fiction carbon metailcsI had, there were good new but I htink started wearing into the rotor and making noise, so I switched to the hawks. weraver golds metallics suck ballz also.

hawkhps agrssiev street
moorse cermaic mild street

FWIW, I dont know much about stock brakes, but i can advise against doing teh ls1 swap. I did it...panic and hard breaking ownz, but the larger volume in the front calipers makes the pedal mushy and throws off the f/r bias. not to mention the rotors are literally what...8 lbs heavier...they're gigantic. I'll be going back to stock.

Just in case you were thinking about it...stop...you dont need to be any slower ( Razz ) and if you decide to do some fancy drivin', it'll probably screw up your bias noticably....

Good luck,
Matt

ALright cool.... I already bought the pads, they are rebestos ceramics and were around 70.00.

I will just stick with the stock rotors again for now then. I burned through this pair in a year and a half, and that is why I was asking.

Thanks for all the input!

Big mistake on the Raybestos! Ceramics get way to hot and warp your rotors under constant heavy breaking, not ideal for drag racing as much as you do. Should have got Hawk Performance Street pads instead. Your new rotors won't last! Sad

Just get some Brembo blanks and a set of hawks.

Edit: This place has good prices for hawk pads and brembo rotors
