When I was in my accident, my hood had the slightest little bend to it, just over the headlight. Shop said it needed to be replaced. I was surprised; figured it could be bent back into shape. I don't remember what the rationale was for replacing instead of fixing. Maybe it was just an insurance scam. |

Yeah. Got the hood and got it painted for like $300. And it gave my car some value on trade in, which is why it might be worthwhile for Dan. But then again, my deductible is half his and I was reimbursed for most of it since I wasn't found to be at fault for my accident. |

Found a gullable dealership today that is offering $8k towards a purchase for trade in... they obviously won't just cut a cash check so I might trade it in towards a M5 Spyder MR2 Turbo that they have. Its a few years old but would be a nice convertible 2-seater for those nice summer night cruises by the water!! (eat your heart out buffalo)
Anyone have any feedback on this car? I drove it for a good hour today and really was impressed with the power and handling. Of course, the previous owner installed a turbo kit and new computer, so I am weary but I'm getting a nice deal so who knows. Overall feedback? |

i want one, never driven it before, but they look pretty nice, supposedly better gas mileage than a honda s2000, i'm not sure how it compares performance wise, in other words i'm not sure which one burns rice faster |

now, if only the gto was convertible... killer competition for stangs, considering i want my next car to be rwd performance convertible, i.e. stang, unless they come out with a gto convertible, or bring back camaro in a convertible, but i'm really hoping they bring back the trans am/ firebird by '10 |

John, I would have given a limb to have my GTO as a convertible. This is pretty much the only reason why I am so into this Spyder. |

the worst part is that there's really no competition for the stang convertible, except for mr2 spyder, eclipse, s2000, which are all front wheel, and i've never liked rice |
