Just checking the place out, seein' who's who and all that. I own a 2006 GP. No mods yet but it's only a matter of time before I get underway. Located in UNY, stationed at Ft.Drum live in Copenhagen.
Looks like there's a pretty good crew here I think I'll stick around for awhile and check the place out! |

Welcome!
Did you have a GXP at one point? Your handle seems familiar from clubgp... _________________ 2018 Acadia

Bought the GP almost a month ago... Looking around I can get a 06 GXP with a little bit of mileage for the same price maybe I should take the 3.8 back to the dealer.... damnit.
I saw Ed Morad had a complete GT motor for an 06 for sale on ebay, shouldn't be too hard of a swap and he was only asking 1500 if I do remember correctly. Question is what would be involved if I could get my hands on a gen5 for my 3.8? Cams, headers, etc?
The car has decent pickup and go as is, I've put her up to 115 on the backroads messing around but knowing now what kind of power is out there I'm a little peeved. Maybe I'll give the GP to the wife, sell the jeep and be able to find a deal on a 00-04 gtp somewhere?
Damn again...
P.S. Thanks for the warm welcome! |

You have a NA 3.8? Unfortunately, you can't easily just bolt a supercharger on. |

Bare minimum you'd need the LIM, the fuel rails, injectors, a TB maybe?? (i dono about that) you'd need L67/32 heads too, MAP too I believe.
Past that, a cam would be a good idea as would headers but they aren't needed....you'd need to run a 3.8+ pulley though. |
