|
|
So I posted this on the national board with no luck but thought I would try local too
I killed 1 of my diamond pistons (9.5:1).
Diamond wont sell me just 1 because they are a few years old and they changed the manufacturing process so they have to make them "custom" so I will stay in balance. They will only sell "custom" pistons in sets of 4.
So anyone have an incomplete set of diamond 9.5:1 pistons laying around or know anyone in the world who does? |

There has to be a few people on the nats that have blown up a forged motor.
They have to be somewhere... _________________ Hi, I'm Matt. I'm the resident smartass and I have fourblack children: (ok, one's only half black..)

Yea man.. thats what I figured but noone has responded to my "wanted" thread.. only 11 views too . I would post it in general but afraid Ill get the post police after me.
BTW that block is coming apart this weekend, If I can get a piston itll be back together by the end of next week.
Worst case Ill use the L36 internals, rather use my old L67 rods though, they were shot peaned and the big ends were machined for the ARP bolts. |

check www.bonnevilleclub.com. There was a guy who just blew up his motor after only <100 miles and he had diamond pistons. Not sure what vintage. Someone told him 89 would be fine on a built motor. They are located in Enfield, CT |

Forged pistons in a non-i/c gen3'd car? Not even a ported LIM.
Makes no sense... |
