|
|
My RT DP let go on the way home today. the weld at the manifold flange blew out / eroded thru and it's loud as hell and undriveable.
I need a 3" DP with flex from the manifold flange to the inlet of my cat. My DP is welded all the way to the catback so I would have to hack and adapt. Ideally if someone has a 3" race pipe and a tubing expander so I can make a slip fit to the remaining portion of the downpipe.
anyone local who can help? I can set aside Sunday to do some work.
TIA,

bingo. that will work. do you think it can be expanded enough for slip on until I get it welded? I can't drive anywhere, it sounds like NASCAR.
Is it the weave flex or the interlocked? BTW this is the DP i bought from you back in '04 I think.
let me know how much, and we'll figure out how to get it to me. I may be coming out to Ontario on Monday. but if anyone is near there and can come to B'lo Sunday I pay cash, beer and pizza. |

I have a basically brand new bolt-on ZZP 3" downpipe with no cat if the other one does not work out. |

fixed temporaroly for now. I hacked the S from my stock Dp and cut off the flex from the RT DP on the car. the flange weld had completely broken away. I cut the stock Dp back so I had at least 2" of overlap into the cat. then wrapped with muffler tape and a clamp. it's holding until I get the Dp from John welded in.
john if I take a day off work can I have you guys weld it in at NEP? |
